Stuffed Tigger ready for washing

stuffed tigger ready for washing

If your stuffed animal is really big, really firm, or has a lot of stuffing you can remove the stuffing by cutting open a 5-6 inch seam in the bottom of the stuffed animal to be washed. Removing the stuffing will prevent it from shifting and keep the animal from losing shape. If the stuffing is dirty you can wash it by hand or even better replace it with new stuffing from a fabric store. If you are washing your stuffed animals stuffing by hand be sure and let it dry before you put it back in. After washing, re-stuff your freshly washed stuffed animal and sew the seam back up to make sure no stuffing will fall out.
